Rusty PFA stunned by HRS

HRS claimed their win at Padang BSRC as they outplayed a toothless PFA on Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 triumph. Once again it showed as PFA lacked invention and energy and it was the opposition who had the spark as they scored a stunning strike from a long range effort.

The game is good as over in the second period when HRS rounded the game 2-0 thanks to Along’s spot kick after their player had been fouled inside the penalty box. There could be no complaints from PFA side who did not do nearly enough to win the game. Things looked so rosy after the 6-2 win against ex-SMPW but that was not the case this time.

Maybe the lack of individual effort to build own fitness contributed to poor, sluggish performance and it’s all up to the 18 selected players to step up before their first league match against Meraq Utd which will take place on 5th June 2011 (Sunday). There is a saying “you don’t have to be fast or skillful, as long as you are fit, you can do anything on the pitch”. Jog more PFA!

Week 38 Yahoo Fantasy Football (FINAL)

TEAM NEWS

Start at Old Trafford, where Alex Ferguson has confirmed he'll actually be playing a reasonably strong team against Blackpool. Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Anderson, Dimitar Berbatov, Patrice Evra and Edwin Van Der Sar will all start the game. I'm expecting Rio & Vidic to be rested so Smalling & Evans should start too but there was no news on Fabio, Nani or Owen ,think they'll all start, but it is a risk.

Heard by now that Carlos Tevez has (for the 347th time) said he wants to leave Man City this summer. I guess if there's any chance of this happening then it won't be helped by benching him but it has got me slightly concerned. Kolarov should also be back as Zabaleta has an injury and Balotelli is being tipped to return.

Van Der Vaart is out of Spurs' game against Birmingham which increases Luka Modric's value massively - he'll take set pieces and penalties - Things are less clear defensively; Hutton, Assou Ekotto, Gallas and Gomes are all fit to return which could spell trouble for Kaboul, Rose, King & Cudicini, although Redknapp will be aware those players were excellent in the win over Liverpool.

One of the most important pieces of news for me regards West Brom, and the fact Peter Odemwingie will miss the final game of the season against Newcastle due to injury. Why is this important? Well, he's the main source of goals for the Baggies and with him missing I think this makes Newcastle big favourites - Krul @ 1.76? Yes please!

Wolves could name the same the same team that defeated Sunderland after doubts emerged over Kevin Doyle and possible re-occurrence of his knee injury, which would mean Ward & Fletcher continue up front. It would also mean Matt Jarvis remains on the bench, although he'll push Stephen Hunt all the way.

Birmingham have Craig Gardner and Liam Ridgewell back from suspension but Cameron Jerome, Lee Bowyer and Martin Jiranek are all doubts.

Blackpool have no new injury worries, while Wigan have a full fit squad to choose from.

Chris Samba, Junior Hoilett & Jermaine Jones have all recovered from injuries picked up against Man Utd.

Meireles is the only doubt for Liverpool so it could be the saem XI which lost against Spurs.

Fabregas out of Fulham game while Clichy, Nasri and Diaby will all have late fitness tests. Djourou could be back and would surely replace the woeful Squillaci if he is, while Vermaelen will continue.

Aston Villa are at full strength and should keep the team that beat Arsenal.

Fabrice Muamba is the only doubt for Bolton so Tamir Cohen could come in, and Elmander is set to play his final game for the club, with his contract up in June.

Jose Bosingwa, Yossi Benayoun and Ramires are out for Chelsea and Carlo Ancelotti may go with Drogba over Torres after another poor showing from the Spaniard against Newcastle. Alex should continue ahead of David Luiz.

Tim Cahill is unlikely to be risked by Everton and Bily is suspended.

So this my last Post on YFF for this season, Insya Allah next Season will continue to publish this post hehehe... thanks everyone for support & reading this post. FYI, you can see my Final lineup after 7.00 p.m hehe... Biar lah Rahsia.......... for this Final Countdown.... Jeng.. Jeng... Jeng.....Jeng......

Ex-SMPW mauled by PFA

       PFA        6-2       Ex-SMPW
Daniel
Daniel
Jj
Bebek
Nameng
Bebek

PFA went goals-galore with a comprehensive 6-2 victory over Ex-SMPW at Padang Polis Panaga. Bebek and Daniel were on target with a brace of each and JJ finally broke his goal-scoring duck this year by blasting home a free-kick inside the penalty area after an error by the goalkeeper. The result is PFA’s biggest victory of the year so far.

Daniel gave PFA a comfortable lead with his two goals in the first period followed by JJ’s third goal strike to make the score-line 3-0. Confidence was now visibly flowing as PFA carved open the opposition’s defence constantly with Daniel almost grab a hat-trick but the ball swerved just inches off the post after a neat quick one-two with Najib. Ex-SMPW began to threaten as the half progressed and managed to pull one goal back as the half ended 3-1.

Any hopes Ex-SMPW may have harboured of a comeback were dashed when Bebek made no mistake to score the fourth after a defensive mix-up in the box earlier in the second period. Ex-SMPW were showing no signs of giving up as they once again shorten the goal-deficit after they scored their second of the game. A comprehensive success was rounded when Nameng furthered PFA’s lead to 5-2 before Bebek continued his fine goal-scoring run by wrapping up his brace with a composed finish.

Yahoo Fantasy Week 37

TEAM NEWS

Wenger has more-or-less confirmed Mr Vermaelen will start! Koscielny's injury means he'll partner Djourou and I'm pleased to see him back. Clichy is back too, but Fabregas & Nasri are doubts and Diaby & Rosicky are out.

Ancelotti didn't reveal all in his press conference, so it's probably best to avoid the possibly injured David Luiz - Alex could continue. He did say Torres will definitely start, but no details on whether this will be alongside or instead of Drogba. Bosingwa will miss the rest of the season, while Zhirkov is a doubt.

Interesting stuff from Sir Alex, as he suggested the very reasonably priced Kuszczak could get a start to give Van Der Sar a rest. Unfortunately that was it, no news on injuries to the full-backs so no confirmation on Fabio, whether Valencia gets a rest/Nani starts or who plays up top. Berbatov scored 5 vs Blackburn earlier in the season, so he may get the nod.

Andy Carroll is pushing for a return to the Liverpool team, but Dalglish may be tempted to stick with the XI which performed so well at Fulham. The one saving grace for Carroll is the injury to Meireles, so he could squeeze back in alongisde Suarez, with Maxi & Kuyt on the wings, but don't be surprised to see them unchanged.

Spurs are ravaged by injury and really fear we could get a bit of a pasting this weekend. No Bale, Gallas, Assou Ekotto, Gomes (phew), Jenas, Palacios or Hutton, while Modric & Huddlestone are doubts, and our 3 strikers are out of form. Bad times.

Man City & Stoke have the small matter of an FA Cup Final tomorrow, so we don't have a clue what'll happen in that game and how it may affect the line-ups in the rematch next Tuesday..

Sunderland are without Muntari, Anton Ferdinand, Craig Gordon, Titus Bramble, Michael Turner, David Meyler, Fraizer Campbell, Marcos Angeleri, Kieran Richardson, captain Lee Cattermole, Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck - wow! Wolves are surely sensing this is their big chance to pull away from trouble, with an almost fully fit squad to choose from, including the returning Kevin Doyle.

Steven Reid and captain Chris Brunt are fit for West Brom.

Birmingham are without the suspended Graig Gardner and Liam Ridgewell, while Zigic remains out. Parnaby or Davies will come in to the defence alongside Carr, Johnson & Jiranek.

Blackburn's Phil Jones has recovered from a back problem, while Michel Salgado and David Dunn are also fit again.

Charles N'Zogbia is set to start for Wigan despite nursing a dead leg.

West Ham captain Scott Parker could play after returning to training, as could Upson.

Both Blackpool and Bolton are claiming near fully fit squads, with no new injuries to report.

 Alai's Comel current lineup:

Carson Vermaelen Carr Caldwell Walcott valencia larsson, zenden Hernandes RVP Rodallega.

PFA’s losing run ended

Goals from Daniel and Ali gave PFA a win against F19 at Padang BSRC after three consecutive losses. F19 were dominating possession in the opening 45, winning every challenge and creating chances but were clearly lacking the cutting edge. They should have perhaps led by a couple of goals in their hand.

But it was Japni who showed a superb vision before he sprayed a delightful ball picking out the perfectly timed run of Daniel who squeezed a low shot past the goalkeeper. PFA then gradually began to reassert their grip on the game after the goal, controlling the possession and pressing high up.

PFA were certainly carrying more threat to their play in the second half, passing the ball well and Ali doubled the advantage by cutting down from the left and fire a shot into the net to make the scoreline 2-0. PFA should have assumed control of the tie in the second period as they continued to press but failed to get the third goal.

As the game approaching to the final whistle, F19 were awarded a penalty when Nabil brought F19 player crashing to the floor inside the penalty area. The referee pointed to the spot and up stepped the penalty taker who fired a low shot into the corner. Final score 2-1 win to PFA.

Week 36 Yahoo Fantasy Football

MATCH PREVIEW:

Aston Villa v Wigan

Things are definitely looking up for Villa - six weeks ago people were predicting relegation for them, but they are starting to play well and manager Gerard Houllier is getting better too.
Wigan can't seem to string two results together. Their performances aren't ever that bad, but especially in away games they have 15-20-minute spells where they just implode.
I reckon Villa have enough matchwinners to edge it, and I'm afraid I think Wigan will go down.
Prediction: 2-1
Bolton v Sunderland

Well, Sunderland haven't got any strikers, so I can't see them scoring, but they are fine for points.
Bolton have been very up and down since their disappointment in the FA Cup semi-final, but they were superb in their last home game when they beat Arsenal.
It's been a good season for Bolton, who are improving under Owen Coyle. But this game's very much got an end-of-season feel to it.
Prediction: 2-0

Everton v Man City

Apart from their late defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Everton have been on a fine run recently, even without some of their top players who are still injured.
Everton like playing Manchester City, too. There's a definite feeling of 'You've got loads of money, we've got none, have some of this' when they meet.
City boss Roberto Mancini would definitely take a draw if you offered it to him, because it gets them that much closer to the Champions League, and I think they'll get it.
Prediction: 1-1
Newcastle v Birmingham

Newcastle have been a bit up and down and since Andy Carroll left they haven't quite been the same, but that's certainly understandable.
In August, I think their main aim would have been to stay in the Premier League, so they've achieved that goal with two managers.
Birmingham will be fine, no danger of relegation for them I don't think. They've gone back to being hard to beat, which they were for most of last season.
Prediction: 2-0

West Ham v Blackburn

Blackburn's victory at home to Bolton last weekend was their most important result of the season and they look strong physically having got a few players back.
West Ham - where do you start? They've got quality, you can't argue with that, but there's just something not right at the club.
For a team at the bottom of the league, they are far too easy to play against and, at the moment, too easy to beat. I know they think they've got two more winnable games after Blackburn, but they need something on Saturday.
Prediction: 2-1

Tottenham v Blackpool

Home win for me, though it doesn't look like being enough to get Tottenham into the top four. In the reverse fixture Spurs created umpteen chances and I can see the same happening again.
Blackpool will go to White Hart Lane and try to win the game, as they always think they can, but I can't see it.
I think Spurs and Liverpool should try and finish fifth and get in the Europa League if the top four is beyond them. You're better off qualifying and then deciding how to play it. If you want to play a scratch team and rest your stars, you're entitled to do that.
Prediction: 3-1

Wolves v West Brom

Crikey, this is a match of hatred, isn't it? With a derby you can never be sure what's going to happen, but you can guarantee there will be a concerted effort and a little bit more from the home team in their position.
West Brom are safe now, but there's no doubt they will be desperate to win the game as well.
I think it's going down to the last day of the season for Wolves and it's looking ominous for the three 'Ws'. It'll be a very exciting last day, could be a classic - unless your team is involved.
Prediction: 2-1

Stoke v Arsenal

Stoke will be physical as they always are with every team, not just Arsenal, but there might be a bit more because of all the accusations that have been flying around for a while now between the teams.
You would imagine Stoke will have one eye on the FA Cup final a week later - that would only be natural.
Arsenal's big decisions are going to come in the summer when they decide who to keep, who to chuck out and who to try and bring to the club.
Prediction: 1-1

Man Utd v Chelsea

It's fantastically poised, isn't it? If Chelsea can go to Old Trafford and win, they will be in the driving seat because their goal difference would be better than United's.
For me, Chelsea have put together a very, very good run under no pressure, because no-one expected them to win the league a few weeks ago. But they've also done it without playing that well.
I don't see United losing, though. If you offered Sir Alex Ferguson a draw he'd take it, and I think that's what they'll get.
If Chelsea are choosing between Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres up front, it's easy - Drogba every time.
Prediction: 1-1

Fulham v Liverpool

Kenny Dalglish is like Midas at the moment - everything he touches seems to turn into gold.
This is one of those games where there is no pressure at all, so both teams can go out and play, just enjoy themselves.
Fulham have had a very good end to the season and it's incredible to think some people were calling for Mark Hughes's head at the end of last year, when he was without Bobby Zamora and other key players. Ridiculous.
Prediction: 1-1

PFA woes continue

PFA endured a frustrating night as they went down to a 0-2 defeat against Pesaka Jr. PFA had certainly made a commanding start in the first period but it was the visitor who took the lead when a loose ball from Juan led to the first goal. PFA struggled to muster a response despite their bright start in the early minutes with some forward play but lack the cutting edge.

PFA then gave a good account of themselves in the second period when Ali burst through with his blistering pace and fire a shot but the goalkeeper managed to tip it off. PFA needed to stay solid if they were to maintain hope of getting back into the game despite their chances remained elusive. But it was the penalty that decided the game when JJ ill-timed challenge on the Pesaka Jr’s player gifted the host with a penalty.

PFA players could only watch on as the Wijaya midfielder once again stepped up to emphatically beat the goalkeeper with a well taken spot-kick. This defeat means PFA have now lost eight friendly matches out of eleven so far this year, their worst ever records in recent years.

1st Half:

2nd Half:

PFA slump to consecutive loss

PFA’s poor performance continued as they were beaten 1-3 by Family Team (Tutong) at Padang Kecil. The opposition opened the scoring for the visitor just after quarter-hour mark, making no mistake with a cool finish past PFA Pin.

Najib then finally brought his goal drought to an end when he beat the offside trap and easily slotted in to the net. Wijaya midfielder doubled Family Team’s advantage with an unstoppable strike beyond the PFA’s goalkeeper.

The visitor then made it three in the second period, tapping home from close range. Any hopes of dramatic fight back evaporated when PFA players doesn’t even seem to respond with the two goal deficit and it was an easy win for the visitor.
